Northwest Trek Wolf Awareness

The same weekend Eatonville celebrates its Centennial birthday - October 16-18, 2009 - Northwest Trek Wildlife Park, just five miles north of town on Hwy 161, features Wolf Awareness Weekend activities. During special Wolf Awareness activities, visitors will be able to stroke the pelt of a wolf, feel how sharp wolf teeth really are, hear about wolves from their keepers at Northwest Trek, and even see some special wolf enrichment activities.

Every day at Northwest Trek, families can see bears, cougars, eagles, and wetland animals in natural exhibits, explore up to five miles of secluded nature trails, and enjoy a comfortable tram tour through 435 acres of natural habitat including wetlands, forests and meadows, filled with moose, bighorn sheep, elk, caribou, mountain goats and bison.
